Personal Introduction (Scroll down for Testimonials!)

As your Celebrant, we’re going to be sharing an important process, culminating in the public presentation of your ceremony.  I’d like to offer this section as a chance for you to get to know me a bit.

My name is Sandi Miller.  I’ve been married (since 1991), and I can highly recommend it!  I’m many things – a wife, a mother of two children, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a daughter-in-law, a sister-in-law, a niece, a granddaughter, a neighbor, a teacher, a friend, and yes, a Celebrant and Ordained Minister.  I’ve been involved in all aspects of the wedding ceremony, and all the personal relationships that are touched by such an event.

I have a background in Political Science and Education, and have been a social worker for a prominent children’s organization.  I spent several years interviewing for this children’s group.  I also interviewed a wide variety of people from the business, political, resort/travel, government and education arenas over a period of 5 years as a freelance writer.  As a freelance writer, I have extensive experience in creating and editing all types of written material.

Additionally, I’ve been a teacher for individuals and groups, aged between infancy and mature adulthood.  My public speaking skills have been honed during in-person and telephone interviews, in the classroom, and in the conference room.

Personally, I enjoy a wide range of activities… books, music, horses, nature, photography, yoga, movies, holidays, travel, computers, costumes, talking, friends, and family… to name but a few.

I have great respect for other belief systems, customs, and cultural traditions.  Living and traveling overseas taught me that as much as people are different, at the core of things, we’re the same… we all think and feel.  We all suffer and celebrate.  Of course, we do them in different ways.  That’s what’s at the core of my Celebrant vocation.

I hope that this has been helpful to you in making a choice about who will create and perform your ceremony.  It will be my great pleasure to get acquainted with you and share in this part of your future.

Peace to you,

Sandi Miller

Celebrant and Ordained Minister

Philosophical Statement

I believe that religious and spiritual beliefs are deeply personal.  My private philosophies, whether political, religious or other, should not determine the nuances and details of your celebration.  I feel a vocation to assist my fellow men and women in uniting themselves, in love, joy, and with intention to form life-long bonds.  This is my personal ministry… not so much one of a specific religious thought, or denomination, but rather one that celebrates the public proclamation of love, compassion, and connection to and for another human being.  It is my great pleasure to participate in rituals that create foundations for strength, support, family, and future among couples.  I believe that love is precious, and the more we have of it in the world, the better.  Peace to you.  – Sandi
